Bono Says NO NO To The Radical Left

When you think of Bono from the legendary band U2, the first thought is NOT ‘warrior against left wing radicalism.’

He is well known for supporting leftist causes & the influencers who advance those ideologies.

But recently, after the planned Virginia attack by a lefty madman which left several Republicans injured, Bono amazingly broke on through to the other side, even if only for a moment…

Constitution.com reports, he has been openly critical of U.S. President Donald Trump, aligning himself with the vast majority of rock stars and celebrities who mysteriously believe that life as a liberal is a much more rewarding experience…for some reason.  That’s why it was entirely surprising to learn how Bono reacted to the recent radical leftist mass shooting conducted by Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer James T. Hodgkinson just outside of Washington D.C. during a republican charity baseball practice.

On one hand, we have democratic leaders and celebrities celebrating this heinous first volley of gunfire in this New Civil War, and on the other hand, we have rational men and women all across our great nation calling for a deescalation of the leftist vitriol that got us into this mess.  Oddly enough, Bono found himself in the latter camp, even going so far as to personally reach out to victimized conservative congressman Steve Scalise who is in fair condition at a nearby hospital.

It Happened Like This…

Maryland’s FedEx Field was packed to the brim June 20 with thousands of fans happy to be spending their evening with friends, beer and Bono. A huge screen was the backdrop for U2’s two-hour set, and flashing across it were beautiful landscapes, American flags, patriotism and iconic figures (plus Lena Dunham, for some reason) of the 20th and 21st centuries.

They took the stage and played their first song to a cheering crowd.

Then, Bono held a moment to say something that set the tone for the rest of the evening:

You’ve been through some troubling days here with the shooting in Alexandria. We are so grateful that Congressman Scalise and his comrades made it through. So grateful. We hold them up, as love holds us all up.

What’s more, Bono took the time to visit MedStar Washington and sign a card for Scalise, who is now in fair condition at the hospital following multiple surgeries.

Will They Listen?

Entertainers like Katy Perry, Stephen Colbert, Madonna, Cher and so many others should take note of the impression U2’s concert left on attendees.

It is this empathetic response to the soon-to-be deadly New Civil War of the radical left that needs to find footholds across our divided nation. The sheer violence of the message that democrats and their celebrity surrogates are promoting is abhorrent in every possible incarnation of the word.

The moment that Snoop Dogg murdered a Trump lookalike in a music video opened the floodgates of assassination propaganda, as liberal across the nation began a campaign of desensitization toward the idea.

Kathy Griffin and a production of Hamlet in New York City both upped the ante on murder normalization just days before James T. Hodgkinson took aim at our republican congressmen.

There is no world in which this is mere coincidence, and Bono’s plea to the left to stand down is as powerful as it is surprising.
